Intro Tabbed by - Tom Walker Verse by - Ron Prince

Tuning Open C - C G C G C E

Listen to the intro, there are parts that need a little palm muting and there
are some dead notes to hit as well as the notes in this tab.
This is just a basic intro to get you started. After you can play this you'll
be able to get it sounding more like the CD version.

Intro -
palm mute a bit

VERSE

Tabbed by - Ron Prince

if you got at 12 string like John you can rip off your high G string (look
at the picture on the Pickapart EP).

John uses a glass slide on his little finger.

- indicates slide

This is the basic riff

E-7-7----10-10----5-5----7-7
C-7-7----10-10----5-5----7-7
G-7-7----10-10----5-5----7-7
C-7-7----10-10----5-5----7-7
G-7-7----10-10----5-5----7-7
C-7-7----10-10----5-5----7-7

There are little licks and stuff that he plays but I haven't had time to
work 'em out.

The Don't want to be a thorn in your side bit is like

E-3-3-3----10-10-10----5-5-5-5-5-5
C-3-3-3----10-10-10----5-5-5-5-5-5
G-3-3-3----10-10-10----5-5-5-5-5-5
C-3-3-3----10-10-10----5-5-5-5-5-5
G-3-3-3----10-10-10----5-5-5-5-5-5
C-3-3-3----10-10-10----5-5-5-5-5-5

That's about all the different riff 'n stuff there is a huge ass solo but I
don't have time to write it/work it out so just have some fun playing your
own.

here is the solo to betterman because I know a lot of people requested it.
This tab also includes the six-string lap-steel solo, played by Rory, but I
only have a regular 4-string so thats what i tabed it on, it still sounds
right.

Tuning-John plays this in CGCGCE, but i find it easier to play in CGCGCC.
Just my personal preference. Having siad that though, the solo is probably
wrong, but im 13, so lay off.
This solo is played with a slide

When doing the 18th fret slide slid go down to about the 10th fret, and also
when you doing the slide down from the 18th fret pick the G and C strings
like this
C--p-p-p---------- when p stands for pick
G-p-p-p-----------

C-18------------18-----------18--------------------------------------
C-18----12--12--18----12--12-18----12--12--12-12/10--10-10/12-12--12-

Now you hear this big sliding sound and a lot of rattle and the lap-steel
bass
solo somes in. I just use a standard bass in standard tuning with it on my
lap and with a slide.
